HIRING - CLINICAL ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, PSYCHOLOGY

The Department of Psychology at the University of Georgia invites applications for a full time, non‐tenure‐track Clinical Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will support the training mission of the department’s in-house Psychology Clinic (http://www.psychology.uga.edu/clinic)  by providing supervision to doctoral students in a variety of evidence‐based assessments and interventions for children, adolescents, and young adults. Skills in psychoeducational assessment are necessary. The successful candidate will also teach clinically related and general Psychology courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This is a 12‐month position and is expected to begin no later than Fall 2025. 

Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program. The candidate will be licensed or license-eligible to practice in the State of Georgia. 

The successful candidate will join a nationally prominent and productive faculty and department interested in promoting the careers of junior faculty. The Clinical Psychology Program has a clinical science model and is dually accredited by APA and the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS).

The Department of Psychology has approximately 45 faculty members, 90 doctoral students, and approximately 2100 undergraduate Psychology majors. The Clinical Psychology Program has approximately 10 faculty and 35 graduate students. The department is committed to promoting the careers of junior faculty. UGA is a land and sea grant institution located in Athens, 65 miles northeast of Atlanta, the state capital (www.visitathensga.comwww.uga.edu). Athens is well known for its quality of life, affordable cost of living, and easy access to both outdoor and urban activities (exploregeorgia.org).
