Psychology Convocation Ceremony

UGA Commencement

The University of Georgia hosts a commencement ceremony for undergraduate students in honor of the completion and/or in anticipation of your fulfilling all academic requirements at the University. We encourage students to participate in this campus-wide event with unlimited guests. For more information and any questions regarding UGA commencement, please visit commencement.uga.edu.

A note about summer candidates:
Undergraduate students completing their degree requirements in summer are invited to participate in the May graduation ceremonies.

Psychology Convocation Ceremony

The Psychology department hosts a smaller convocation ceremony every spring to celebrate our psychology majors.

The Classic Center

Psyc. majors should pay careful attention to their UGA email for further information distributed in the weeks after spring break via the psyc undergraduate major listserv. Anyone not on this listserv should contact Ms. Stephanie Helmig at Stephanie.Helmig@uga.edu to be added.

Students will be required to RSVP via a Qualtrics survey sent to their UGA email.

Undergraduate students completing their degree requirements in summer are invited to participate in the May graduation ceremonies.

Graduates may bring up to 8 guests.

Convocation is a more personal ceremony in which undergraduate students are recognized by name on stage. Students may participate in both ceremonies if they like or they may choose one or the other or neither. Regardless, students who complete all the requirements for graduation will still graduate.

Academic Regalia
